Are you a passionate and dedicated School Psychologist seeking a rewarding opportunity to empower middle school students by providing essential mental health support and academic success strategies?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team in the vibrant Hartford, CT area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of middle school students by providing prehensive psychological services in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct prehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of middle school students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to address students' individualized learning and support needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the specific needs of middle school students, utilizing evidence-based practices and promoting positive social-emotional development.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective strategies for supporting students in the classroom and school environment.
  • Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) and Child Study Teams to collaborate on a cohesive approach to student success.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to ensure continuous improvement in student outes.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school psychology for middle school students.

Qualifications:

  • Connecticut State Certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Prior experience working with middle school students in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, social-emotional learning (SEL) principles, and evidence-based assessment and intervention practices in school psychology.
  • Expertise in conducting psychoeducational assessments, developing IEPs and 504 plans, and utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to middle school students.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and maintaining student confidentiality according to ethical guidelines.
  • A passion for promoting social-emotional well-being and advocating for students with diverse learning and social-emotional needs.
