Mechanical Assembler

Candidate will be brazing copper to copper piping daily. Every unit is custom - candidates will have to cut the piping to length and braze it together according to each customer's needs. Candidates will be working off of blueprints as needed. Candidates will also help assemble the houses that these racks sit in and will be doing a lot of moving throughout the day - bending, kneeling, twisting, etc. as well as utilizing various hand & power tools.
Responsibilities- Brazing copper to copper piping using oxyacetylene torch.
- Cutting piping to the correct length based on customer specifications.
- Working off of blueprints to assemble units.
- Assembling the housing units for racks.
- Engaging in physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the day.
- 3+ months of mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction experience
- Experience in welding, specifically MIG welding on mild steel, is a plus
- Experience in repairing machinery or working on cars is beneficial
- Plumbers and entry-level welders often excel in this role

Work EnvironmentLarge manufacturing building where units are built in teams of 3-4 people. Fast-paced and well-lit environment. Clean but expect to get dirty due to the nature of the work. Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday. No A/C but fans are provided to maintain air flow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required every day.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
