Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Bookkeeper for our team located in TROY, Michigan. Operating within the construction and property management industry, this position is an exceptional opportunity leading to a permanent role. The Bookkeeper will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial management by maintaining accurate records and processing transactions.

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
• Managing and maintaining precise customer credit records.
• Resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts.
• Regularly monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions.
• Accurate recording and depositing across all properties using remote deposit, mobile banking apps, and various lockbox websites.
• Handling invoice entries and processing payables for a portfolio of properties while liaising with Property Managers for invoice approvals.
• Execution of bi-monthly check runs.
• Collaborating with other accounting assistants to prepare year-end 1099’s and ensure timely filings.
• Undertaking other administrative accounting tasks as required.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations to ensure financial statements are correct
• Demonstrated ability in bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
• Proficient in data entry tasks related to financial transactions
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create reports
• Experience in managing month-end close processes to finalize financial records for the month
• Knowledge of payroll management to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing and recording financial transactions
• Experience with Yardi software for property management accounting is a plus
