Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter with 2-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to read blueprints and tack welds, and maintain a clean attendance record. This role involves fabrication on parts, operating hand saws and torches, MIG and tack welding, and general cleanup of the shop area and facility. The candidate will also fit steel parts by reading and interpreting blueprints, operate overhead cranes, and potentially convert blueprints from the metric system to English.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipefitting and fabrication on parts
• Operate hand saws and torches
• Conduct MIG and tack welding
• Maintain general cleanup of the shop area and facility
• Fit steel parts by reading and interpreting blueprints
• Operate overhead cranes
• Convert blueprints from the metric system to English if necessary
• Engage in more plate fitting than pipe fitting
• Contribute to the production of industrial furnaces up to 105 feet long and 200 feet high

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of Pipefitting experience
• Ability to read blueprints and tack welds
• Clean attendance record
• Experience with MIG welding

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fitting, fabrication, and structural fitting
• Ability to learn and adapt to new techniques
• MIG certification preferred but not essential
• Experience in an industrial environment

Work Environment

The position is available for the first shift (4x10 Monday-Thursday with optional overtime on Friday) and the second shift (11 AM-12 PM, 3 13-hour shifts Monday-Wednesday). The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. The facility is not climate-controlled and has an industrial environment, which can be very cold in winter and hot in summer. This is an older facility, so candidates looking for a modern, climate-controlled environment should consider this.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
