Manufacturing Controller

Volt is hiring for a Manufacturing Controller in Moscow, IA.
As a Manufacturing Controller, you will:
Cost Accounting:- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify cost drivers and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee the calculation of labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing.
- Monitor and report on inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Financial Reporting:- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
Budgeting and Forecasting:- Lead the annual budgeting process for the manufacturing operations.
- Develop financial forecasts and models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Internal Controls and Compliance:- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
Operational Support:- Partner with manufacturing management to provide financial insights and support operational efficiency.
- Conduct financial analysis of manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support new product development by providing cost estimates and financial analysis.
Team Leadership:- Manage and mentor the cost accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire position.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000/year.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
