Job Title: Full-Time School Counselor
Location: Freeport, IL

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time School Counselor to join our team in Freeport, IL. The ideal candidate will support students' academic, emotional, and social development, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to address students' academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for student success.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention programs.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and promote peer relationships among students.
  • Conduct classroom guidance lessons on topics such as goal setting, self-awareness, and coping skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field.
  • Valid School Counselor certification in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
