Job Description

As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for working and communicating effectively with your team, as well as assisting in various Distribution Center functions. Your duties will include accurately storing inventory, pulling inventory according to work orders, boxing and packaging orders, preparing truck manifests, and transporting materials from manufacturing to distribution. You will operate a variety of lift and packaging equipment, including forklifts, bobtails, and order picking equipment to heights of 20 feet, as well as spooling and boxing equipment. Team members are expected to assist in a variety of warehouse functions and take initiative to help out wherever needed. Attention to detail and the ability to refer to alphanumeric part numbers are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately store inventory and pull inventory according to work orders.
  • Box and package orders, prepare truck manifests, and ship orders.
  • Transport materials from manufacturing to distribution.
  • Operate various lift and packaging equipment including forklifts, bobtails, and order picking equipment up to 20 feet high, as well as spooling and boxing equipment.
  • Assist in various warehouse functions and take initiative to help out wherever needed.
  • Use RF scanners to store and track inventory.
  • Occasional data entry to process shipments and track inventory.
  • Storing product in appropriate areas, with approximately 80% forklift use and 20% manual stacking.
  • Packing materials and boxes, using pneumatic hoists and lift tables.
  • Shipping: labeling and processing shipments in the ERP system.
  • Spooling: transferring materials from pallets to pay-off equipment using pneumatic hoists.
  • Stage finished shipments by forklift, hand-stack, or use of pneumatic hoist onto pallets.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing an ERP system in a warehouse setting.
  • 2+ years of experience using RF scanning equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience driving material handling equipment such as order pickers, standup, and sit-down forklifts.
  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Occasional data entry to process shipments and track inventory.
  • Basic math skills to record and track department metrics.
  • Ability to manually stack boxes weighing 10–110 pounds.
  • Experience using pneumatic hoists and lift tables.
  • Light computer skills for processing shipments.

Work Environment

Large Distribution Center with a requirement to wear goggles and earplugs on the manufacturing floor. The facility is not insulated, meaning it can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The role mostly involves working independently. Day Shift: 6am-3pm. Flexible availability is required. Overtime is required four times a year at the end of each quarter and is always available.
