ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time special education teacher for the 2024/2025 school year. Our teachers play an important role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and disabilities. This is a full-time opportunity with one of the many districts we're partnered with in the Overland Park area.

Overview:

  • Full Time
  • 5 Days a Week
  • 37.5 Hours Per Week
  • Full School Year
  • Elementary + middle

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with various disabilities
  • Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of all students
  • Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Kansas teaching license in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Interview Process:
There will be a 5-10 minute phone screening with one of our recruiters. If selected, there will be a more in-depth interview with the district where more details about the opportunity will be provided.
