Job Description:
As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the emotional and educational needs of students from preschool through 8th grade. You will provide prehensive evaluations, facilitate parent meetings, and collaborate with educators to develop effective educational programming that promotes student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning needs and emotional concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support services in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Facilitate parent meetings to discuss evaluations, remendations, and strategies for supporting students.
- Provide direct support and counseling to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and improve educational programming and interventions.
- Participate in crisis intervention and provide support during critical situations.
- Stay updated on best practices in school psychology and contribute to district-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with students in preschool through 8th grade preferred.
- Strong assessment and counseling skills.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
