Care Representative

We are offering a contract-hire position as an Access Representative in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry, located in Johnson City, New York. As an Access Representative, your key role will be to manage patient registration, maintain patient accounts, and provide customer support.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the arrival and registration of patients into the EPIC system, ensuring all requirements are met as per state and federal guidelines.
• Conduct thorough interviews with patients to validate demographic details and insurance information.
• Regularly review and manage the work queue to ensure efficient workflow and timely service delivery.
• Perform scanning of necessary documents into the EPIC system for record-keeping and future reference.
• Handle collection of co-pays when necessary, ensuring clear communication and understanding with patients.
• Leverage various software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dentrix Dental Software for efficient patient management.
• Offer customer support and respond to inbound calls promptly and professionally.
• Carry out authorization and billing functions as per the established protocols.
• Maintain up-to-date patient accounts and chart-graphs for easy reference and tracking.
• Undertake additional responsibilities related to benefit functions as needed.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance setting• Proficiency with Allscripts, Banner Ads, and Cerner Technologies is required
• Must be adept at using CRM and Dentrix Dental Software
• Experience in answering inbound calls is necessary
• Skilled in authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions
• Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs
• Should have experience in managing patient accounts
• Strong customer support skills are essential
