Job Description

Seeking a Quality Control Technician to conduct inspections, test materials, and ensure products meet quality standards. Responsibilities include documenting results, assisting in quality process development, and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Hours

6:00AM - 4:30PM Monday-Thursday (4/10 Schedule)

Pay

$23.00 - $26.00

Job Duties

  • Report to the Quality System Manager.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections, in-process and finished product inspections, and acceptance testing per documented procedures. Audit received materials and components, verifying material/processing certificates against purchase orders.
  • Conduct first-piece and set-up inspections, and provide technical inspection support and floor monitoring during production.
  • Document inspection results, create First Article reports as per AS9102 requirements when necessary, and generate nonconformance reports.
  • Maintain inspection and traceability records in the company computer system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including adjusting work schedules as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of machine shop experience, including close-tolerance dimensional inspection work.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, such as CMM, comparators, vision systems, surface plates, micrometers, and gauging instruments.
  • Strong understanding of machine parts blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry quality standards, including those related to medical device component manufacturing.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in MS Office.
  • Relevant training in manufacturing, quality, and inspection principles, including problem-solving and corrective action (e.g., 8D), SPC, Gauge R&R, PPAP, and Lean manufacturing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
