Job Title: Repair Shop Manager

Location: Miami, FL 33142

Reports to Repair Station Manager

Schedule: 6 AM to 4:30 PM

Work Hours: At least 40 Hours Per Week

SUMMARY / GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job description is to provide a high-level overview of the role, scope and responsibilities.

The Repair Shop Manager is responsible for all aspects of the assembly, charging, testing and shop traveler data entry of new manufacture life raft cylinders. Supervises all the functional testing. disassembly, parts estimation, repair/overhaul, charging, leak testing, and final work order document completion of service work activities for the Repair Station and Gas Shop. They will be monitoring the production and repair flow, including the quality of products, , shop equipment and all necessary parts and materials to be used for production and repair, ensure that all person at protective equipment is properly used, and inform the Gas Shop Mechanic Team Lead the shortage of parts, machine or process malfunctions. In addition the Gas Shop Mechanic is a safety-sensitive position that performs the inspection, repair, overhaul and assembly tasks per the OEM Component Maintenance Manuals and applicable our drawings, and other related work as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Follow production plans by following Raft, Slide and Service Order Schedule issued by the corresponding department schedule.

Responsible for products and its quality to make sure that these are in line with our quality system, process, and procedures.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by properly using personal protective equipment, chemicals, cements, equipment.

Having an active role in the company continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company.

Ensure the safety of the personnel and equipment while performing the functional test or any other test involving the Gas Shop equipment

If required, initiates the communication with other departments to make sure that inflation systems (at its required stage) are readily available and required inspections are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Works with the Senior Team Lead to ensure that all orders are completed as scheduled.

Works to ensure professional and cooperative working relationships within own department and with other departments across the company.

Cover other team members as required by business needs.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organize workflow and ensures that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.

Monitoring employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching.

Ensures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures.

OTHER DUTIES:

All employees must be familiar with AS9100 standard.

All employees must be familiar with the ISOI 4001 standard.

All employees must be familiar with FAR 145, EASA and all applicable requirements.

All employees must be familiar with the standards, policies and procedures pertaining to their position.

Assemble subcomponent per drawing.

Charge & Leak Test Cylinder Assemblies per drawing.

Hydrostatic Test cylinders.

Prepare shop traveler.

Deliver completed cylinder assemblies to Raft manufacturing.

Read/understand engineering drawings on a basic level.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•College degree in Engineering

•At least three years related experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is a physically demanding position to be able to stand and carry steel and composite cylinders :

•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

•Must be able to reach at or below shoulder level, reach overhead, push or pull, lift or carry, and kneel at times.
