Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary: Seeking a Sr RS Aircraft Painter to perform aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing under minimal supervision while ensuring compliance with quality specifications.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 4 years related paint processes

  • Valid Driver's License required

  • Advanced knowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

  • Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification

  • Thorough understanding of GAMPS, paint operations SPT manual, and paint WFR

Preferred Skills:

  • Aircraft industry experience

Responsibilities:

  • Perform aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing safely under minimal supervision

  • Coordinate with supervision and Inspection for compliance with internal and FAA paperwork

  • Assist in work assignment for team members

  • Promote high standards of quality through instruction and example

  • Use tools such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms, and paint sprayers following SOPs

  • Use sealants, paint strippers, corrosion-preventive chemicals with proper protective equipment

  • Utilize material tracking system for parts demand, squawk tracking, and work sign-off

  • Comply with Paint shop standard practices (SPT) process and WFR processes



Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
