Work Hours: 7:40 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Duration: 2024/2025 School Year
Caseload: Elementary
Setting: Onsite

We are currently seeking qualified and dedicated Special Education Teachers (SPED) for multiple full-time positions in Ithaca, NY, for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year. These positions offer the opportunity to work with elementary students, providing vital support and tailored instruction to meet their unique educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for elementary students.
  • Provide specialized instruction and interventions to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies to meet IEP goals.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress and communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Active Special Education teaching license in New York (NY).
  • Experience working with elementary students is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
