Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage litigation cases from inception to conclusion in both state and federal courts, conducting comprehensive legal analysis and crafting strategic recommendations.
  • Handle depositions of key witnesses, including plaintiffs, and effectively communicate case updates to clients.
  • Collaborate with paralegals to ensure efficient case management, including drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Utilize e-Discovery tools for managing discovery requests and responses, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal standards.
  • Apply expertise in civil litigation, toxic torts, and mass torts to navigate complex legal issues and contribute to case strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited institution.
  • State Bar admission and 1 year to 5+ years of litigation experience, specifically in mass tort and asbestos litigation.
  • Proven proficiency in civil litigation, toxic torts, and the ability to defend depositions, as well as summarize and handle them effectively.
  • Strong skills in case management, legal research, and legal writing, with experience drafting legal briefs, correspondence, and memoranda.
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws, as well as commercial law, is essential.
