Immigration Paralegal

A dynamic and rapidly growing boutique immigration law firm with an outstanding reputation is seeking an experienced Bilingual Immigration Paralegal. The firm is looking for a detailed - oriented individual who can manage a high volume of cases and takes initiative.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and file immigration benefits applications as delegated.

• Support all functions of removal proceedings litigation, including the preparation of applications for relief from removal such as Cancellation of Removal, Asylum and Withholding of Removal applications.

• Procure documents in support of applications, prepare affidavits/declarations, and organize immigration court filings.

• Assist attorneys in the preparation of immigration petitions and applications, including forms and packages with supporting evidence for submission to relevant administrative agencies.

• Review and organize client documentation, analyze, and summarize case data for attorneys.

• Assist attorneys in determining potential case issues and planning case strategies. Maintaining organized, legally compliant client files, monitor deadlines, and tracking the progress of individual cases.

• Manage a caseload of immigration matters at various stages. Draft correspondence to clients and relevant administrative agencies and communicate directly with then when applicable.

• Translate documents as delegated by attorneys and provide direct translations for clients during office meetings. Review and analyze Requests for Additional Evidence and draft responses.

• Perform special projects and other assignments as requested by attorneys, proactively anticipating their and clients' needs.

Qualification

• Fluency in Spanish

• 1+ year experience in USCIS and or EOIR casework.

• Exceptional English writing and communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills.
