Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MCS Manufacturing Associate to join our team in a fully onsite role. This position requires availability to work various shifts, including days, swings, weekends, and holidays. The exact schedule will be dictated by the production needs and may include 5x8hrs, 4x10hrs, or 3 or 4x12hrs shifts. Flexibility in shift scheduling is essential as it will vary based on the manufacturing model and business requirements. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic production environment at the Thousand Oaks Drug Substance plant, supporting both development and commercial activities. Operations will be performed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on operations including setup, cleaning, and sanitization of various manufacturing equipment.
  • Prepare buffers and media according to defined manufacturing procedures (MPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow GMP documents, SOPs, and MPs with strict adherence to safety and compliance.
  • Perform and monitor critical processes with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Conduct in-process sampling of equipment and operate analytical equipment.
  • Perform washroom activities, including cleaning small-scale and large-scale equipment used in production activities.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Work in a clean room environment wearing steel-toe shoes, full clean room gowning, hairnet, and gloves.
  • Initiate quality deviation records.
  • Draft and revise documents, including SOPs and MPs.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functions.
  • Assist in the review of documentation for assigned functions, such as batch records.
  • Perform activities that include periods of rigorous, repetitive work.
  • Work around high-pressure systems and occasionally around heavy equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of Manufacturing/Operations experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Manufacturing/Operations experience.
  • Ability to work in teams to complete operational tasks.
  • Ability to take direction well and follow documents and policies at all times.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment through interactions with team members.
  • Capability to lift up to 35lbs regularly, push and pull objects requiring up to 50lbs of force, and work on feet for long durations.
  • Ability to perform physical movements necessary for daily functions on the production floor, including bending, reaching above the head, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, walking upstairs, and standing on portable stairs or ladders up to 6 feet off the ground.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology and/or Life Sciences.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Experience following a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Experience working in a high-change, high-volume environment.
  • GMP experience (preferred but not required).
  • Manufacturing experience (highly preferred).
Work Environment

This role is fully onsite at the ATO facility. The work environment includes working in a clean room, which requires wearing steel-toe shoes, full clean room gowning, hairnet, and gloves. The position also involves working around high-pressure systems and occasionally around heavy equipment. Flexibility in shift scheduling is required, including the ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays. The role demands physical activities such as lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and standing for long periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00
