My client is a longstanding industry leader with an immediate opening for a Senior Traffic Engineer. Full-time, permanent position include a flexible work schedule, competitive salary, healthcare benefits, and comprehensive insurance options.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia or ability to obtain within 6 months
- PTOE certification
- 10+ years of progressive experience in traffic and/or ITS engineering
- Proficiency in AASHTO, MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, and Highway Safety Manual
- Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and software such as HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, TransModeler, VISSIM, or VISUM
- Expertise in designing traffic control devices and work zone traffic control
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proven experience in project and contract management
- Experience with VDOT preferred
