Claims Processor

Insight Global is searching for a claims processor to assist in the Patient Accounting department at one of our largest healthcare clients in the southeast. This position will sit HYBRID in the Charleston area, with 2 days per week in the office in West Ashley (flexible on which days they want to work from home but must be consistent week over week). The position will begin as fully onsite, 5 days a week, until the employee is trained and fully independent. Only at this time will they transition to the hybrid schedule. 90% of the time, they will be working with insurance payers to submit and begin the process to close out medical claims for procedures completed at the clients’ facilities. This will involve using payer websites, uploading documentation related to the procedure or appointment, and then following through with the claim to ensure that it was either processed, partially processed, or denied. 10% of time will be following up on claims that were submitted but received no response. This person will be working directly in EPIC and most of the work can be done via the computer.

Must Haves:

-1 year of Insurance Follow-Up Experience

-Basic knowledge of Hospital or Physician Billing/Insurance

-Independent Worker/Must be comfortable and productive with limited supervision

-High School Diploma or GED
