Job Title: Special Education Teachers (Multiple Openings)
Location: Freeport, IL
Type: Full-Time, Contract
Hours: 32.5+ hours per week
Positions Available:

  • 1 Elementary Resource Teacher
  • 1 Elementary Self-Contained, Cross-Categorical Life Skills Teacher
  • 1 Middle School Resource Teacher
  • 2 High School Resource Teachers
    Caseload: 15-18 students per class

Job Description:
We are seeking multiple full-time Special Education Teachers to join our team in Freeport, IL. These positions cover a range of grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school, with a variety of settings such as resource rooms and self-contained classrooms. The ideal candidates will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the services outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
  • Provide direct instruction and support in resource or self-contained classroom settings, depending on the position.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to meet the needs of each student.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to promote academic success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families to support student development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching Certification (required).
  • Experience working in resource or self-contained settings (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Rate: $35-$45per hour, depending on experience.
