Details:
School Psychologists
Description: We need two school psychologists for the 2023-2024 school year, one to cover FMLA leaves spanning the start of the school year through winter break and one full-year position. Here are the details of both:

FMLA position
8/14/23 through 12/22/23
covering Butler Elementary (grades 2-4) from 8/14/23 through mid-October (tentative) and then Homer Junior High (grades 7-8) mid-October through 12/22/23
full-time (Butler 8:45-3:30, Homer Jr. High 7:40-2:25, half hour unpaid lunch)

Full-year position
8/14/23 through 5/22/24
Hadley Middle School, grades 5-6
full time, 7:40-2:25, half hour unpaid lunch


Requirements

Education and Certification:

  1. Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  2. Valid and current Illinoisstate license or certification as a School Psychologist.

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting.
  2. Familiarity with Illinoisstate regulations and guidelines pertaining to special education and psychological services in schools.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in school psychology or a related role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and best practices.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-informed decisions.
  • Compassion, empathy, and commitment to student success.

Interviews are generally conducted via Zoom. Depending on the circumstances, pay is negotiable and usually experience-based.
