Exciting Opportunity: School Nurse Needed in Auburn Hills, MI for the 2024/25 School Year

Position: School Nurse
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Start/End Date: ASAP through June 13, 2025
Hours/Week: Full-Time, 37.50 hours
Grade Levels: K-12
School Location: Districtwide

What You'll Do:

  • Health Management: Provide prehensive health services, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic condition management, to students of all ages from K-12.
  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly and effectively in case of medical emergencies, ensuring students receive prompt care and appropriate follow-up.
  • Health Screenings: Conduct routine health screenings and assessments, identifying and addressing health issues that may impact student learning and well-being.
  • Health Education: Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential health records, ensuring pliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement health plans and support student needs.

What Were Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a school nurse or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of a school environment.
  • Qualifications: A valid Michigan RN license and relevant certifications.
  • Skills: Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed health records.
