We are actively seeking Pharmacist In Charge / Director of Pharmacy with recent Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy experience who is looking to make the next step in their career.
Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge / Director of Pharmacy
Start Date: September 15, 2024
Location: Acute Care Hospital
Hospital Details:
- Bed Capacity: 101
- Average Patient Census: 70
- Order Entry System: CPSI
- Dispensing Methods: Cart fill, night locker
- IV Compounding: Yes (no chemotherapy)
- Staff: 2 Pharmacists, 3 Technicians
Work Schedule:
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or Director of Pharmacy (DOP)
- At least 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- COVID vaccine required
- Standard drug screen within the last 3-6 months
- TB screen within the past year
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage pharmacy staff (hiring, training, performance evaluations)
- Oversee the pharmacy budget, financial performance, and cost-saving measures
- Ensure quality patient care and efficient pharmacy operations
Note: This role is focused on DOP responsibilities and does not include staffing duties.
