Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Cressey, California

Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Cressey, California. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional speech and language services to students, supporting their munication development and academic success. The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to deliver prehensive and individualized therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and munication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' specific needs.
  • Provide engaging and effective therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and munication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational goals.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students' munication development.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
  • Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Credential authorizing service as a Speech-Language Pathologist in public schools.
  • Previous experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse stakeholders.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • California Credential authorizing service in public schools, such as the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential.
  • mitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards set by ASHA and the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
