We are searching for a committed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team, helping students improve their communication and learning experiences.

Position Summary:
This role seeks an experienced, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist with a commitment to delivering effective speech and language therapy to students. The role involves assessing each student's needs, creating tailored therapy plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to align with educational and developmental objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation & Assessment: Conduct detailed evaluations of students' speech and language skills. Develop personalized education plans (IEPs) and therapy objectives based on findings and individual student needs.

  • Therapeutic Support: Offer direct therapy services, including articulation, language intervention, and communication strategies. Create engaging therapeutic activities aimed at enhancing students' academic and communication success.

  • Collaboration: Partner with educators, special education staff, and families to integrate speech strategies within classroom and everyday routines. Attend IEP meetings to provide input on communication support and necessary modifications.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, current records on student progress, therapy plans, and session notes. Prepare reports for IEP meetings, progress updates, and regulatory compliance.

  • Professional Development: Stay informed on best practices in speech-language pathology and special education. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Licensure: Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.

  • Experience: Prior experience in a school or working with children with varied needs is desirable. Familiarity with IEPs and their implementation is preferred.

  • Skills: Proficient in speech-language pathology practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and respond to students' individual needs.
