We are offering an exciting opportunity for a multi-site Director of Finance/Controller for our northern Indiana plant sites. The role is primarily focused on providing financial guidance to the plant and business unit management, ensuring the financial control of all plant assets, revenues, and operating expenses. As a Controller, you will also be responsible for developing plant overhead rates and the annual operating plan, and ensuring the accuracy of the plant’s accounting methods, records, and financial reports.


Responsibilities:


• Implement procedures to ensure sound financial control of plant assets.

• Oversee the preparation and interpretation of plant financial statements.

• Direct the preparation of interpretive financial analysis of plant operations.

• Coordinate the annual operating plan for the plant.

• Analyze and compute plant overhead rates.

• Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure requests.

• Conduct the annual physical inventory.

• Recruit, train, and develop plant financial personnel.

• Ensure the plant's accounting and reporting follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the company's accounting policies and procedures.

• Provide financial information to management and other personnel outside the plant.

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Must have a strong understanding and experience in Accounting Functions

• Experience in preparing and managing Annual Budgets is required

• Familiarity with Auditing processes and techniques is necessary

• Must have knowledge and experience in Budget Processes

• Proficiency in an ERP system required

• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred

• Must have excellent analytical and strategic planning skills

• Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively

• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred

• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
