Sign Language Interpreter Needed in Auburn, WA for the 2024-2025 School Year
ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Auburn, WA, to hire a Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, with the potential for renewal for the following year.
The chosen candidate will be employed full-time through ProCare Therapy on a contract basis for the entire school year. The role offers competitive compensation, weekly paychecks, and excellent healthcare benefits through United Healthcare.
Schedule:

  • Full-time: 30+ hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
  • On site

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation across various settings, including classrooms, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support students' educational needs.
  • Adjust interpreting techniques to cater to individual communication requirements.
  • Assist in creating educational materials in accessible formats.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professionalism at all times.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as needed.

Requirements:

  • EIPA 3.5+, RID, or NIC certification
  • Bachelors degree in ASL or Education Interpreting
  • Washington DOE fingerprint clearance
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

  • 2030 minute virtual interview with the school district
  • Offer typically made within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
