Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller in Independence, Virginia. In this role, you will manage all financial control and accounting activities for our manufacturing site. This includes general and cost accounting, sales tax reporting, general ledger preparation, year-end audit preparation, and supporting budget and forecast activities. You will be a key part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve, and document accounting issues and improve the efficiency and accuracy of our close and reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate.
• Address tight deadlines and manage a multitude of accounting activities.
• Handle general and cost accounting tasks.
• Prepare sales tax reports and general ledger.
• Support budget and forecast activities.
• Contribute to team efforts in creating and implementing policies and procedures.
• Identify, resolve, and document accounting issues.
• Create procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of close and reporting processes.
• Use strong analytical and data mining abilities to drive decision making.• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Plant Controller.
• Proficiency in using 3M is necessary for this role.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.
• Should have an understanding of CapEx.
• Familiarity with Eaton is a plus.
• Should have experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Proficiency in using About Time is necessary.
• Should have expertise in Accounting Functions.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is desirable.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Budget Processes.
• Proficiency in Capital Management is required.
