Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description
We are currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing facility in Washington, Pennsylvania. Our Electrical Maintenance Technicians are part of a highly skilled team that is critical to ensuring equipment and systems are fully operational for continuous production and to consistently meet production goals.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency electrical maintenance on a variety of electrical and electronic systems.
- Troubleshoot and determine corrective action, installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of electrical and electronic systems.
- Implement process improvements and methods that will increase effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Use standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to properly assess and troubleshoot issues.
- Interpret electrical schematics, understand technical manuals, and follow written instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, start-up, and installation.
- Participate in daily meetings, prioritizing and reviewing the daily schedule of work.
- Operate forklifts, man lifts, cranes, etc.
- Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment is operating in a safe manner.
- 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience working with motors, controls, power supplies, and AC/DC theory.
- Experience working with power distribution, VFDs, and PLCs.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Ability to work in various plant areas/departments and environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, etc.).
- Willingness to work at various heights and within some confined spaces.
- Availability for overtime, including other shifts and weekends.
Employees receive comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, and vision with no paycheck deductions. Copays and deductibles are reasonable, and the provider is Blue Cross Blue Shield Highmark. Additionally, the company contributes $3.15 to the employee’s 401K for every hour worked, which includes both standard and overtime hours.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is highly industrial, involving steel manufacturing procedures such as hot rolling and processing. The facility operates on a rotating shift format, with shifts changing every week and typical workdays lasting 10-12 hours. Overtime is available after 8 hours of work per day. Shifts include a 1st shift starting at 6 AM, a 2nd shift starting at 2 PM, and a 3rd shift starting at 10 PM. Employees receive additional shift differentials and production bonuses every two weeks.
