Job Description

Set up, adjust, and operate packaging lines. Start machines and observe operation. Stop machines and notify maintenance or supervisor for malfunctions. Conduct quality checks on products and inspect products for correct packaging. Comply with FDA, DEA, and OSHA regulations. Ensure timely and accurate documentation. Follow GMP guidelines. Solve problems independently. Operate PLC control panels on machines. Perform data entry using computers. Lift 50+ lbs. Weigh and inspect final products. Document materials as they come off the line. Write neatly when dealing with reports and fill out FDA-required paperwork. Pass a basic math test for counting tasks. Maintain good hygiene as you will be working in a small clean room with controlled substances. Conduct 'burst' quality checks on packaging to ensure no defects.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Portage, Indiana.

Work Environment

Bring an extra pair of shoes for the clean room work. Wear hair nets, gloves, and lab coats. The company is a manufacturer and distributor of controlled substances, monitored and regulated by the FDA and DEA. It is a CLEAN ROOM environment where all personnel must adhere to strict hygiene protocols. Work hours are 4pm-12:30am, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday required. Must be willing to work overtime.
