Injection Molding Technician

Park City, KY | 1st Shift | $14/hour

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Maintenance or Technical degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of technical and/or manufacturing experience, with a preference for injection molding and assembly.
  • Proficiency in working with injection molds, robotics, and injection molding machines.
  • Ability to build jigs and fixtures and operate hand and electrical tools.
  • Basic skills in plumbing (water and air) and computer operation.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain good attendance per company policy and be eligible to bid for other positions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, programming, and adjustments for injection molding machines, take-out robots, K-cut, traverse robots, and assembly automation.
  • Build jigs, fixtures, and tools as needed to support production.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on molds, assembly equipment, and injection molding machines, ensuring cleanliness and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the PCAR team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Assist with mold modifications, including venting and mold flow optimizations.
  • Execute cycle reduction trials and monitor production metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Use hand tools, grinders, and drills to complete required tasks.
  • Operate and maintain chillers and MTUs for temperature regulation during molding processes.
  • Read and interpret part and mold drawings to guide modifications and assembly.
  • Support plant flow and assist other shifts as necessary.
