LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client-growing company in Issaquah, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process employee payroll on a bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly basis.

  • Collect and verify timesheets, timecards, and attendance records.

  • Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.

  • Ensure payroll is compliant with tax laws and government regulations.

  • Prepare and process direct deposits, payroll checks, and benefits contributions.

  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records, updating as needed (e.g., changes in salaries, deductions, etc.).

  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, questions, and concerns from employees.

  • Assist with year-end payroll reports, including W-2s and other tax documents.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate benefit deductions and retirement contributions.

  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in payroll or accounting roles.

  • Familiarity with payroll software and accounting systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, Paychex).

  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, including tax withholdings, overtime regulations, and benefits.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Good communication skills for addressing employee payroll issues.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Compensation: $25-$33/hour DOE
