Overview:
We are hiring a passionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time role in Bellefonte, PA. You will work with students with various disabilities, providing individualized instruction, support, and behavior management to help students meet their academic and social goals. This role offers the opportunity to create a positive impact in students' lives through creative, adaptive teaching methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with special needs.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each student.
  • Assist students with behavioral challenges and implement positive behavioral interventions.
  • Work with parents, teachers, and support staff to create effective educational strategies.
  • Modify classroom materials and resources to ensure accessibility for students.
  • Regularly assess students' academic and behavioral progress, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings to update goals and share insights on student development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education (required).
  • Pennsylvania Special Education Certification (required).
  • Previous experience in special education (preferred).
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators.
  • Passion for supporting students' academic and emotional growth.
