LHH is partnering with our client to find an experienced and innovative Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to design and build cutting-edge data architectures and pipelines while collaborating with top-tier professionals in data science and engineering.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing scalable data infrastructure that supports integration, transformation, and visualization. Your expertise will drive high-quality data solutions for business-critical initiatives.

  • Data Architecture Design: Build and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines for efficient data integration and visualization.

  • ETL Development: Design and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure seamless data flow to warehouses and lakes.

  • Database Management: Optimize relational and non-relational databases, ensuring top performance and data integrity.

  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement quality checks and monitoring to maintain data accuracy and consistency.

  • Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to address data requirements and deliver business-driven solutions.

  • Performance Tuning: Enhance data processing through query optimization and resource allocation.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records for data engineering workflows and models.

  • Security and Compliance: Apply measures to protect sensitive information and ensure regulatory adherence.

  • Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and continuously improve data engineering practices.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Programming Proficiency: Expertise in Python, Java, or Scala.

  • SQL Mastery: Extensive experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

  • Big Data Expertise: Hands-on experience with technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with services from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Data Warehousing: Knowledge of solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery.

  • ETL Tools: Experience with platforms such as Apache NiFi, Informatica, or Talend.

  • Technical Foundations: Strong understanding of data modeling, structures, and algorithms.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, collaboration skills, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps.

  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy standards.

  • Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $160,000 – $170,000 per year

  • Annual Bonus: Yes

  • Additional Equity: Available

  • Relocation assistance is offered for eligible candidates.

  • This is an on-site role in Sunnyvale, CA.
