Position Overview
As a Special Education Teacher with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. You will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), differentiate instruction to meet student's diverse needs and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure each student's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, social skills, and life skills to students with disabilities.
  • Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction and intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students with disabilities have access to the general education curriculum and appropriate accommodations and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and other collaborative processes to develop and review student goals and supports.
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in special education and participate in professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Special Education required.
  • A valid teaching license/certification in Special Education in Oregon
  • Early Childhood Special Education Certification Required.
  • SBL or SAS are required
  • Experience working with students with disabilities
  • Strong background in teaching
  • Special education knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with middle school students
  • Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)

Job Details:

  • Full-Time: Monday through Friday
  • School Year: 2024-2025
