Job DescriptionJob Description

Anamosa Veterinary Clinic is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team Open to Mixed or Small Animal only

The Anamosa Veterinary Clinic is located in rural Iowa but is approximately 25 minutes from the Cedar Rapids metropolis. This allows us to provide an array of livestock calls and to support an ever-growing need for small animal appointment services. Our practice is broken down into about 20% large animal and 80% small animal. You would have the opportunity to break your day into a mixture of large and small animal appointments, surgery, and drop-off appointments. We offer emergency services but this workload is split between 8 veterinarians.  All experience levels are welcome to apply. Will consider small, large, or mixed animal. On top of offering mixed animal appointments, our practice offers the following services:

  • Orthopedic surgeries such as TPLOs, lateral sutures, luxating patellas, pinning and plating
  • Diagnostic Ultrasounds
  • Laser therapy
  • Digital and dental x-rays
  • Surgical laser procedures
  • Bovine embryo transfer
  • Canine reproduction
  • Appointments in our haul-in livestock facility

Our ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced, productive environment, seeking to efficiently provide quality care at a cost-effective price for patients. Our appointments are quick-paced and candidates that thrive under this environment have a large earning potential. Our culture aims to make the client and their pets come first. Taking care of the client will in the long run take care of our staff and business. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan. For more information please visit https://www.anamosaveterinaryclinic.com/.

Company DescriptionNVA was founded in 1996 by Stanley Creighton, DVM, with an emphasis on supporting local medical standards as established by individual hospitals and practitioners. He believed that veterinary medicine is best practiced when veterinarians craft their own hospital and community specific strategies for high quality patient care and client services.

The vision continues at NVA as we make available the tools and resources for hospitals to achieve their medical goals while avoiding any single standardized national plan that might not be the best fit for an individual hospital. The variety of tools and resources we provide include emerging research and care standards, access to our national medical database, human resource guidance, marketing support, recruiting assistance, tax preparation, and training and education for staff. Managing veterinarians decide what level of medicine they would like their hospital to achieve, and NVA provides the support to get them there.

...to improve the comfort and well-being of patients by providing progressive and compassionate veterinary care. We develop a team of individual hospitals that share knowledge to achieve sustainable growth.Company DescriptionNVA was founded in 1996 by Stanley Creighton, DVM, with an emphasis on supporting local medical standards as established by individual hospitals and practitioners.
