Full-Time | Onsite | Special Education Teacher Bronx, NY (2024-2025 School Year)

ProCare Therapy is thrilled to partner with a well-regarded school district in the Bronx, NY, to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives while furthering your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break)
  • Schedule: Monday Friday
  • School Year: 2024-2025
  • Start Date: ASAP through the end of the school year
  • Positions Available: 2
  • Compensation: $32+/hr based on qualifications and experience

Caseloads:

  • Kindergarten ICT: 2 students (with more added as IEPs are developed)
  • 3rd Grade ICT: 6-7 students
  • Both positions involve collaboration with general education teachers
  • Mild disabilities, no major behavioral concerns

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education from an accredited institution required
  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in NY required
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory
