Special Education Teacher - Savage, MN
Job Overview: ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a dynamic team in Savage, MN for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing individualized educational support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students.
- Adapt and modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with various disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students, using various teaching strategies to ensure academic success.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting strategies and goals as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and caregivers to keep them informed of student progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with school and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- ValidState Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA and ADA laws, as well as familiarity with IEP processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
