Job Description

As a Ruling Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating machinery to make precise cuts on paper or paperboard sheets. You will use various tools and machines to measure, align, and trim materials according to specifications. Additionally, you will ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the work area and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Read job orders to determine settings and specifications.
  • Set computer or manually set the trimmer to make the proper cuts.
  • Use Quick skan machine to measure paper.
  • Position and align sheets against guides and clamp sheets to the machine bed prior to cutting.
  • Operate machine controls to force the shear blade through sheets.
  • Adjust guides and reposition material to trim or square edges to specifications.
  • Change shear blade when necessary.
  • Become knowledgeable about all grades of paper used.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and completely.
  • Oil and grease the machine per lubrication schedule.
  • Keep work area clean.

  • Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00
