Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - School District Near Stratford, CT

Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time position within a school district located near Stratford, CT. This itinerant role enpasses PreK through 8th grade and offers an immediate start until the end of the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school personnel to develop and implement effective therapy strategies
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and progress
  • Develop and implement therapeutic activities and interventions to enhance students' functional abilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork
  • municate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding students' therapy goals and progress

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Connecticut
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
