POSITION SUMMARY:
The Rebuild Applications Engineer position will engineer modifications and develop engineered solutions to upgrade existing machines and competitive machines. Provide proposal and costing for Rebuild jobs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review RFQ’s for validity and complete information requirements. Responds in a timely manner to requestor for additional information if required.
- Determines proper engineered solution to the request through calculations, layouts. Develop engineering estimates for the number of engineering hours required for the project.
- Prepares quotes. Determine material requirements and cost estimates. This may require preparation of layouts, sketches, marked drawings to send to vendors to obtain cost for the various fabricated and commercial components.
- Prepare pricing sheets from calculated costs to determine a sale price and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Ensure that updated customer information, including history cards, manuals and drawings, are properly completed and forwarded to the customer as required.
- Provide installation Drawing package of rebuild project for service.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems.
- Site Visits as required
- Presentations as required for customer or salesmen
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required Education:
- BA Degree in Engineering or Equivalent experience
Work Related Experience:
- Proficient at 2D CAD, 3D Inventor or equivalent
Skills, knowledge, abilities:
- Competent knowledge of AutoCad Design software
- Knowledge of 3D Inventor
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsets.
- Time Management skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations and demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple projects.

Required:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited school
• Work-Related Experience: Experience in CAPEX equipment sales is preferred but not required. Preferred:
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (e.g. software proficiency, interpersonal and communication skills, language):
1. Demonstrated team leadership, ability to prioritize urgent issues/demands, strong attention to detail
2. Ability to apply engineering and business principles and practices in day to day decision making
3. Engineering CAD skills a must / AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D preferred, MS Office
4. Develop and Maintain relationships with both customers and outside vendors
5. Strategic Thinker - Develops strategies to achieve goals and understands the team's strengths & weaknesses
6. Business Travel: 15%-20% of the time.
