Job Details
- Full-time: 30-35 hours /week
- 2024-2025 school year
- Mixed Caseloads
- Multiple Needs
- 21.50/hr Standard Pay Rate
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or higher is a plus.
- Prior experience working with individuals with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Interpersonal and communication skills; patience, empathy and desire to support students academic and social growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group support to students with special needs in the classroom.
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional activities under the guidance of the special education teacher.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Assist students with daily tasks, including personal care, communication, and mobility.
- Collaborate with the teacher and other professionals to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and behavior.
