Material Handler
Pay: $22/hr
Location: Tamarac, Florida
Shifts: 1st (7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday) / 2nd (3:30 pm - 12:00 am)
Job Description:
Support machining, welding, and assembly functions to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management: Supply materials and manage inventory.
- Order Fulfillment: Gather and pick parts per production orders.
- Waste Management: Empty chip bins into dumpsters.
- Material Movement: Move materials between trucks, storage, and work cells.
- Inventory Tracking: Identify WIP and partial deliveries.
- Finished Goods Handling: Deliver finished goods to proper locations.
- Custom Orders: Tag MTO and custom items.
- Capacity Management: Notify supervisor when workload exceeds capacity.
- Quality Control: Provide input on corrective actions.
- New Product Integration: Identify bin locations for new products.
- Obsolete Product Management: Coordinate disposition of obsolete products.
- Storage Optimization: Suggest and implement storage modifications.
- Stock Verification: Verify delivered quantities before stocking.
- Inventory Accuracy: Ensure accuracy in SAP.
- Support for Welders: Load and unload materials for welders.
Essential Skills:
- 1 year of material handling experience.
- 2 years of sit-down forklift operation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and MS Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to move loads over 72 inches and carry 50 lbs. for 100 feet unassisted.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost management.
- Experience with picking, packing, RF scanners, shipping, and receiving.

- Non-climate controlled warehouse; ambient temperatures can exceed outside air.
- Use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats required.
- Physical demands include standing or sitting for 8+ hours, lifting over 30 pounds, and making coordinated movements.
