Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all shipping duties, loading and unloading materials using forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of shipments. This role is crucial to maintaining our high standards of quality, productivity, and safety.
Responsibilities- Handle all shipping duties and load/unload materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Perform shipping routines by pulling materials, preparing materials, and loading materials onto company trucks.
- Process shipments via UPS/FedEx or other common carriers.
- Operate forklift or pallet jack to move, load, and unload materials from rack locations and/or incoming trucks.
- Accurately record and update job status by clocking in/out of work orders and selecting leave/close with the correct quantity.
- Perform cycle counting and resolve discrepancies with the team leader.
- Meet daily quality, productivity, and safety goals.
- Adhere to all business policies, quality policy, and corporate vision and values.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience in inventory management, cycle counting, picking, packing, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in material handling and shipping processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Forklift certification is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a machine shop located in Poway. Employees will work in a hands-on setting with machinery and equipment, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Poway, California.
