Position Overview

  • Location: Syracuse, NY
  • Schedule: Variable; 3-4 days per week with evening shifts as needed.
  • Hours: Typically 4x10 or 4x12 schedules (e.g., 8 AM 8 PM).
  • Duration: Preference for permanent hires, but contract proposals will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register with the New York State Board of Pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist-in-charge.
  • Ensure pliance with all federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations, as well as pany policies.
  • Oversee the entire pharmacy departments operations, including:
    • Budget management and payroll.
    • Scheduling and inventory control to meet financial goals.
    • Third-party administration processes.
  • Lead business development efforts within the store and the local munity.
  • Manage and train pharmacy support staff, providing guidance and performance reviews.
  • Hold pharmacy associates accountable for adhering to regulatory and pany policies.
  • Conduct patient-centered services, including:
    • Immunizations (required to be fortable administering all vaccines).
    • Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
    • Wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, drug interactions, and side effects while monitoring patient health to optimize therapies.
  • Maintain pliance with continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensure a clean, organized workstation and uphold facility standards.
  • plete all required continuing education programs to maintain licensure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What Were Looking For

  • Licensure: Active and valid New York State Pharmacist license (required).
  • Certification: Immunization Certification is required.
  • Experience: Must be fortable administering all vaccines.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
