Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Material Handler with over 6 months of Warehouse/Material Handling experience. The role involves performing various warehouse tasks related to the receipt, shipment, storage, or distribution of products. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and storing products according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions. The job also includes the operation of gas or electric-powered forklifts to move products safely.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and ship products from multiple locations using proper warehouse procedures.
  • Perform partial pallet distribution as needed.
  • Operate gas or electric-powered forklifts to move products safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Correctly load LTL, FTL, and rail shipments using air bags and spacers to ensure they arrive damage-free.
  • Perform cycle counts to meet weekly KPI requirements.
  • Ensure food safety and quality protocols are followed.
  • Provide coverage in the absence of other Warehouse Support staff.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in material handling and warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts.
  • Ability to use RF scanners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong teamwork and independent judgment abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to push up to 500 pounds with a pallet jack.
  • Ability to pull up to 500 pounds with a pallet jack.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds frequently.

Work Environment

Our clean warehouse environment operates on the Front Half Days schedule (Sun, Mon, Tue, every other Wed 6am-6:30pm). Initial training will be provided onsite at our Tualatin facility during the day. The position requires frequent physical activity, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying heavy loads. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and effective prioritization of tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00
