Job Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicatedSchool Psychologistfor afull-time, onsiteposition inBarberton, WAfor the2024-2025 school year. The School Psychologist will be responsible for conductingprehensive psychological assessments, providing counseling services, and working closely with teachers, parents, and school teams to support students academic, emotional, and behavioral development. This role will primarily involve psychological testing, report writing, and providing support to students with behavioral and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conductprehensive psychological evaluationsfor students, assessing cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Write thorough, clearpsychological reportsbased on assessment results, providing remendations for interventions and educational strategies.
  • Participate inIEP (Individualized Education Plan)meetings, offering expert input based on psychological evaluations and student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to identify and address academic, social, and emotional barriers to student success.
  • Develop and implementBehavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)for students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Provide individual and small-group counseling sessions to students to address social-emotional concerns, behavioral issues, and personal development.
  • Offer guidance and support in the implementation ofsocial-emotional learning (SEL)initiatives and programs within the school.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of psychological assessments, counseling sessions, and student progress.
  • Provide professional development for school staff on best practices for supporting students' mental health and managing student behavior effectively.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degreein School Psychology or related field.
  • Licensed School Psychologistin the state of Washington.
  • Experience withpsychological assessments,IEP development, and supporting students social-emotional and academic growth.
  • Strong understanding ofsocial-emotional learning (SEL)strategies and behavioral management techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators to create and implement individualized plans of support for students.
  • Excellent munication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings clearly and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • passionate and dedicated to helping students overe challenges and reach their full potential.
  • Prior experience working in an elementary or K-12 school setting is preferred.
