Job Description: As a School-Based BCBA, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, conducting functional behavior assessments, and providing ongoing support and training to staff and families. Your work will directly impact the success and well-being of our students, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the function of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support the implementation of BIPs.
  • Provide training and professional development for staff on behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior interventions and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, plans, and progress reports.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current BCBA certification.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
  • Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of students with special needs.
