Robert Half has an immediate need for a paralegal to support a law firm in Frisco, Texas. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential to go permanent.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in labor and employment litigation, including case preparation and trial support.
  • Manage and organize litigation documents and correspondence.
  • Draft and file legal documents, motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Coordinate and communicate with government agencies and regulatory bodies (EEOC, etc.).
  • Conduct legal research related to labor and employment matters, including civil service laws, collective bargaining, and meet-and-confer procedures.
  • Track case progress through PACER and maintain an organized case docket.
  • Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and other trial materials.
  • Maintain and update client files and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office for document creation, organization, and presentation.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in labor and employment law within a municipal setting.
  • Proficiency in PACER and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Civil Service Act, collective bargaining, and meet-and-confer agreements.
  • Familiarity with EEOC processes and government agency interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Paralegal Certificate is NOT required, but relevant experience is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a municipal law firm.
  • Familiarity with local government processes and labor laws.
