Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician to install, maintain, and repair electromechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with electrical systems, mechanical components, and PLC programming. This role requires a high degree of collaboration with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electromechanical equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, and control systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment specifications and configurations.
• Perform regular testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Calibrate and adjust machinery components to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts replaced, work performed, and equipment conditions, to maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.
• 5 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and mechanical components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, meters, and hand tools effectively.
• Ability to diagnose PLC and HMI programming for control systems and VFDs.
• Programming skills with ABB, Siemens, Automation Direct, Modicon, or Turck systems is a plus.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations in an industrial setting.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with relevant software and computerized systems used in electro-mechanical maintenance is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Travel required: 50 to 75%.

Work Environment

The work schedule is 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday. Some overtime may be required. The position involves 50-75% travel once hired. Work in a garage-type environment.
